Chew Valley – An epic scramble day and a walk that has everything!

Come and join us in the Chew Valley situated on the Saddleworth Moors in the (Dark) Peak district for an action packed day of great walking, scrambling and beautiful vistas!

This superb circular walk showcases some of the finest scenery on the edge of the Peak District, combining reservoirs, waterfalls, dramatic gritstone edges and expansive views.

We start with a lovely section through Rimmon Pit Clough, taking in the impressive waterfall of Holme Clough, before skirting round Greenfield and Dovestone Reservoirs.  After crossing back over we climb back onto the ridge via a lovely scramble up Charnel Clough, as we proceed to the Raven stones for a superb photo opportunity on the iconic ‘Trinnacle’.

Moving along the ridge we see great views of the reservoirs below whilst making our way back to the start.
