Chew Valley – An epic scramble day and a walk that has everything!

Come and join us in the Chew Valley situated on the Saddleworth Moors in the (Dark) Peak district for an action packed day of great walking, scrambling and beautiful vistas!

We start with a lovely section through Rimmon Pit Clough, taking in the impressive waterfall of Holme Clough as we proceed to the Raven stones for a superb photo opportunity on the iconic ‘Trinnacle’.

Moving along the ridge we see great views of a series of reservoirs below. Making our way round, we scramble up Charnel Clough before eventually reaching the foot of the Wilderness Gullies.

Once again we are treated to a great scramble as we then make our way back via Chew Reservoir, Ladlow Rocks and following the Pennine Way to Black Hill and back to the start.

A hard, memorable day, with many highlights to live long in the memory!
