A truly diverse and spectacular part of the country with some of the most well known walks and places including it’s highest peak Kinder Scout, the village of Bakewell, famous for it’s ‘Bakewell Tarts’, the amazing Roaches, the ancient Bronze Age and Iron Age hill top fort of Mam Tor, with its spectacular views of Edale, Hope Valley and the edge of Kinder Scout, the Monsul Trail, its many famous caves and caverns, including Blue John’s and so many, many more places to visit for some of the best hiking and scrambling around!
The Peak district National Park is situated at the southern end of the pennines and covers 555 Sq miles incorporating the counties of Derbyshire, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Staffordshire, West Yorkshire and South Yorkshire.
It is famously divided into the Dark Peak of mostly moorland and gritstone rock and the White Peak, a limestone area of valleys and gorges.
We’ll walk along trails that feature a variety of terrain and interesting highlights, experience sweeping views over picturesque moorland and see some of the prettiest flora and fauna in England.
