Come and join us on our Lake District Hiking Weekend – Helvellyn of relaxed walking in a small sociable group, sharing the adventure, making new friends and enjoying the authentic Mountain Bunkhouse experience.
Situated in the North West of England, The Lake District National Park was established in 1951 and covers an area of 912 square miles.
The most beautiful mountainous area of England, famous for picture perfect lakes and forests, as well as it’s many well known fells and its associations with William Wordsworth and other Lake Poets and also with Beatrix Potter and John Ruskin.
We arrive on Friday evening to be greeted by our Host, settle in and enjoy a lovely freshly prepared meal whilst getting to know each other. A little music, fun and games whilst sat around a real fire … but don’t get carried away, we’re up early and out for a full days hiking, taking in spectacular scenery, in and around the outstanding national park.
We are taking on one of the most iconic grade 1 scrambles in Britain and certainly the most well known in England. Helvellyn via Striding Edge and Swirral Edge is a fantastic day out on the mountain with this 9 mile circular route that starts right outside our bunkhouse.
We return to our bunkhouse late afternoon to reflect on a brilliant day of trekking whilst being treated to another fantastic freshly prepared meal, followed by a great night of socialising!
After breakfast, those who fancy another adventure will be treated to a shorter walk taking in another fantastic route in this beautiful national park.
A unique and memorable experience not to be missed …

“Fantastic weekend with Boot Up Adventures in Snowdonia. Lovely group, amazing walking/ scrambling with spectacular views and lovely food (vegan here!), followed by cosy vibes and guitar around the fire at night. Thanks guys I will be back!”
“A minor glimpse of the majesty of the mountains by day, followed by the melodic charms of the strings by moonlight [courtesy of Mr Midgley’s talented mitts] made for another buoyant evening with the ‘Boot’s Up’ crowd. Once again, a warm welcome from an amiable crowd and an ever gracious host; counting the days until the next one ⛰️🎸🎶😎”
