Walk through some of the most famous and stunning areas of the Peak District, described by Thomas Hobbes as one of the ‘Seven Wonders of the Peak’.

Classed as one of the best ridge walks in the country, our route for Mam Tor will take us past Treak Cliff and Blue John Cavern, two of the most loved attractions in the area before summiting the ancient hill fort of Mam Tor, for spectacular panoramic views over Edale, Hope Valley and the edge of Kinder Scout.

After a short break we follow the ridge, taking in the views as we bag more famously popular viewing points that include Hollins Cross and Lose Hill, before descending back down to Castleton along the riverside via the lovely little village of Hope.

Once back you might want to take the opportunity to enjoy well earned refreshments or a traditional pub lunch at the popular Cheshire Cheese Inn Pub … you won’t be disappointed!
